Poem

Write me a poem.  It must include a line from a song you love, a descriptive color (tickle-me-pink), and a cliche.  It can be in any style you'd like, and it can be as long as you would like.

Argue with me

1.  Politics:  Abortion? The president?  Gun control?  War?  Gay marriage?  Political parties?

2.  Religion:  What were you raised with?  How much do you know about other religions?  What do you believe?

3.  Pet peeves.  What are yours, and what makes them so irritating?

People you know

1.  Tell me the romantic story of your grandparents, or another older couple you admire.

2.  Write about a typical family function, weather it's a holiday or a reunion or a wedding.

3.  Tell me about your favorite holiday tradition.

4.  Does birth order matter?  First child, middle, last, only, do any of these influence who you are?

5.  Sibling rivalry.  Tell me about your worst fight, and then how you made up.

This is a written writing prompt.  Choose one, and write about it.

1.  Look in your phone at the last person you texted.  Tell me their story, and then tell me how you met.

2.  Pick a song that has lyrics that speak to you.  You are the writer.  Tell me where you got your inspiration.

3.  Pick someone famous, and interview them.

4.  Take a look around the room you are in and pick a random object.  Describe it in detail. Tell me its life, and give it feelings.  Don't tell me what the object is.

Picture this...

So here is the first type of writing prompt.  Yes, it's a picture.  Tell me its story!

Be creative!

Introduction

Hello beautiful people!  If you are anything like me, sometimes you need a little bit of inspiration to get you started in your writing.  Or sometimes you just want someone to read what you've written.  So here it is.  A bunch of writing prompts that I'm putting out there, in hopes that someone will write something inspiring or touching or fun to read.  Please, feel free to send me your writing, or to respond with what you've come up with to these posts.  They might not all be what you want to write about, but pick and choose as you will.  Feel free to use these in your personal writer's notebooks and journals.  Enjoy!
